The incident occurred on Monday, August 17, at around 5:00 a.m., in the village of Zabłocie (Nowogrodziec gmina). Firefighters from OSP KSRG Nowogrodziec:
Upon our unit’s arrival, the report was confirmed: a passenger car had left the road and was lying on its roof. Before our arrival, the person driving the vehicle had exited it unaided.
The firefighters add:
We secured the scene and provided qualified first aid. To secure the vehicle and disconnect the battery, the car was returned to its wheels using a winch.
The injured person was attended to by a medical rescue team. In addition to firefighters from Nowogrodziec and paramedics, officers from the Rescue and Firefighting Unit in Bolesławiec also took part in the operation, as did the police, who are determining the causes of the accident.
The operation lasted about an hour.

It is now known that the driver of the Audi, a 39-year-old man from Lubań County, failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions. Fortunately, the man did not suffer any more serious injuries. He was fined PLN 500.
