The incident occurred after 4:10 p.m. at the intersection of Dolne Młyny and Wróblewskiego streets. Two Renault passenger cars collided, carrying a total of five people. Operating fluids leaked from the vehicles. Emergency services are at the scene.
One of the cars had German registration plates. A German woman was injured and complains of lower abdominal pain.
According to police findings, the driver of the Renault failed to give way to a German citizen who was driving the other Renault along the Bolesławiec bypass. The driver of the silver Renault was fined PLN 500 and received 6 penalty points.
This is another accident at this location. On July 17, a cyclist was hit. The man was taken to hospital, where he later died. Despite residents’ and local government officials’ appeals for the reconstruction of this intersection, the installation of traffic lights or the construction of a roundabout, the national road administrator is doing nothing.
