A several-minute light-and-sound show and a short fireworks display were a gift for the residents of Bolesławiec County. They were prepared for the official opening of the modernized railway line.

The show’s chief director, Łukasz Krolski, said: “The picturesque viaduct was the inspiration for the show. It is very charming and visually expressive. We adapted the entire concept to the structure. Sixty people worked on this performance. They handled the sound, lighting, special effects (smoke), site preparation and equipment assembly.”

Michał Mazurkiewicz, who illuminated the viaduct, discussed the technical aspects of the project: “We used lighting units with 7-kilowatt bulbs, positioned behind the viaduct to create depth. These units can focus the light very narrowly and widen the beam. We also used sixteen lighting units with 3.5-kilowatt bulbs, which can generate 25 light beams. Along the entire length of the viaduct, we used architectural floodlights capable of smoothly mixing colors. The viaduct’s arches were illuminated as well. The special effects—smoke—completed the whole presentation.”

The audience responded very favorably to the show prepared for them.
