On Saturday, August 1, Leśnik Osiecznica began their IV-league campaign. In the opening round, Radosław Szajwaj’s players faced Chrobry Głogów’s reserves away from home. The Głogów team are among the IV-league leaders. Last season, they finished fourth in the table. In the match against the newcomers from Osiecznica, the Głogów side led 2–0 after 10 minutes, following goals by Staszkowian and Jóźwiak.

For the next 70 minutes, the game was fairly even, but there were few opportunities to create clear-cut chances. We had some very good moments, and now we need to work hard to maintain that level throughout the entire match.
In the 79th and 80th minutes, Chrobry struck twice more. Dybizbański and Flis found their names on the scoresheet. The match ended in a 4–0 defeat for Leśnik.

On Sunday, August 9, the players from Osiecznica will play their first home match. At 3:00 p.m., they will host Odra Ścinawa.
