A reader, who wanted us to raise the issue of the Resident Card, wrote to us via Facebook:
For a long time now—whether at the cinema or swimming pools—they have been saying that they do not accept the Resident Card.
And added:
Many people I know have serious doubts; above all, the question arises: Why did they make us apply for these Resident Cards if they are no longer accepted anywhere?
Jerzy Zieliński, Secretary of the City of Bolesławiec:
In response to the question about the “Bolesławiec Resident Card,” I inform you that it is accepted at all facilities managed by MOSiR Bolesławiec, in accordance with the Program Regulations and the discounts declared by the Centre, including:
- Termy Bolesławiec: up to 45% off, depending on the service, the admission price for the brine pools, salt grotto, gym and fitness facilities (the discount does not apply to services provided in the SPA zone or cosmetic treatments);
- Leśny Potok: up to 40% off, depending on the service, admission to the swimming pool and tennis courts, as well as equipment rental prices during the summer season from 1 May to 30 September.
Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury honors the Bolesławiec Resident Card by offering a 10% discount on film screenings held at the ‘Orzeł’ Cultural Integration Centre (this information is available on the City Hall website: https://bolesławiec.pl/miasto/index.php/10-mieszkancy/1713-boleslawiecka-karta-mieszkanca), as well as on the Forum cinema website: https://www.kino.boleslawiec.pl/.
The Secretary adds:
The cinema does not apply discounts to premieres because of prohibitive agreements with distributors. It is working on larger discounts for non-premiere titles; currently, during the summer period, agreement has been negotiated for ticket prices of PLN 10 for selected screenings.
