The incident occurred on Sunday, July 26, at around noon, on the road between Dąbrowa Bolesławiecka and Krępnica (Bolesławiec municipality). The driver of an Audi, a 37-year-old from Bolesławiec County, lost control of the car, ran off the road and hit a tree. The car rolled over.
Firefighters helped the man get out of the car. It turned out that the driver was completely drunk; he had more than 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his system.
The 37-year-old was handed over to the emergency medical team. He could now face up to two years in prison.
