Road-Racing.pl is a team of ambitious athletes who once again organized a road cycling competition on the roads of Gromadka Municipality. Each year, the event attracts more and more participants. This year, more than 450 cyclists from across Poland took part in the competition. As part of the race, the 2020 Bolesławiec County Cycling Championships were held.
“For the second time, the Bolesławiec County Office funded prizes for the winners of all groups. It was a great pleasure for me to present awards to such athletes,” said Ryszard Kawka, Chairman of the Bolesławiec County Council.
Twenty-two male cyclists and two female cyclists took part in the competition. The rivalry was fierce. The winners who stood on the podium received awards from the Bolesławiec County Starosta.
The M20 category was won by Krzysztof Leszczyński of Road-Racing.pl, the M30 category over the Fun distance was won by Krzysztof Bukraba of Romet Team, and the M40 category was won by Kryspin Adamczyk of Road-Racing.pl.
Among the women, Sabina Rzepka of Cyklosport GK won the PRO-distance race. Klaudia Petters of Romet Team came second. On the Pro distance, Roman Smoleński of Road-Racing.pl was the fastest.
“It is no coincidence that the Association chooses a route through Gromadka Municipality every year. The loop in Gromadka itself is a fast and interesting route; several short climbs and one longer ascent create an extraordinary atmosphere,” said Bartosz Kasprzyk, President of the Road-Racing.pl Association.
Participants praised the organizers for their professional preparation of the routes and the very good road surface. The cyclists also declared that they would take part in the competition next year.
“It is worth emphasizing that the name of the competition is connected with the route. Seen from above, it resembles a dog’s head,” said Ryszard Kawka.
As the organizers emphasize, cooperation with and assistance from the local government make it possible to finance such events. Without this support, organizing events on such a scale would be impossible.
