In the semifinal of the District Polish Cup, BKS Bolesławiec defeated Hutnik Pieńsk after a penalty shootout and advanced to the final. The score was 1:1 after regular time. Jakub Rissmann scored for our team.
The match, played in intense heat, got off to a slow start. The evenly matched first half did not produce many scoring chances. The players of BKS Bolesławiec and Hutnik Pieńsk exchanged passes in the middle of the field, but shots were lacking. The only notable effort was Jakub Rissmann's header, although the ball went over the visitors' crossbar. When Jakub Kwoczka had to leave the field in the 43rd minute after receiving a second yellow card, it became clear that Hutnik Pieńsk would throw themselves at the hosts in the second half.
We could have started the second half with a goal. In the 47th minute, Kamil Posadowski passed to Filip Zagórski, but our captain's shot hit the post of Hutnik's goal. Seeing a chance to score, the players pushed forward, forgetting about tight defensive play. In the 62nd minute, Adam Dolata found himself one-on-one with Jakub Walczak and put the visitors ahead with an accurate shot.
Fortunately, conceding the goal did not discourage our boys, who set about making up the deficit. The equalizer was close in the 69th minute, when the ball almost went into the net after a deflection off a Hutnik defender. In the 75th minute, Adrian Biały found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but the visiting player came out on top. Finally, in the 79th minute, we had reason to celebrate. From a tight angle, Jakub Rissmann put the ball into Hutnik's net to make it 1:1. The score did not change before the end of the match, so the outcome was to be decided by a penalty shootout. BKS were better from the spot, winning 4:2. Our team's goals were scored by: Sławek Dul, Kamil Posadowski, Filip Zagórski and Marcin Szaja.

In the final, which will take place on Wednesday (08.07) at 18:00 at the stadium on Spółdzielcza, BKS Bolesławiec will host Apis Jędrzychowice.
