After Andrzej Duda’s meeting with the residents of Bolesławiec, police surrounded a small group of protesters – three men, women and a father with a child. The people surrounded were questioned.

– The police surrounded us the entire time. And that was good, because they effectively protected us, as there was a great deal of aggression there. Once the president had left, we wanted to leave. But the police officers said: no, wait a moment. We thought they did not want to let us move among the people so that they could disperse somewhat. At one point, a police officer approached and said that we should prepare our documents. We asked: on what grounds? We heard: on the orders of the county police commander. We asked: what was the legal and factual basis? They did not answer. The police officers were decent and professional. At one point, we heard the reason: an offence consisting of disturbing the peace. And what did that involve? That we were shouting. But everyone was shouting… But only you were caught, we were told – says Artur from Bolesławiec, who was questioned by the police.
