The incident took place at the beginning of June. The duty officer at the Municipal Police Headquarters received information about a woman being stabbed in the stomach at one of the workplaces in Legnica. – Officers and a police investigative team were dispatched to the scene. She adds:
It was established that the perpetrator entered the employees’ changing room and, threatening the 54-year-old woman with a knife, demanded that she hand over her money. When she refused, he stabbed her in the stomach and then fled the scene.
The injured woman was immediately taken to hospital, where she received medical assistance.

The determined and intensive operational work of police officers from the Department for Combating Crimes Against Life and Health led to the identification of a man who could be connected with the case. Last Sunday, the 33-year-old suspect was arrested.
The man was charged with attempted murder. The court remanded him in custody for three months.
The 33-year-old could now face life imprisonment.
