The incident took place on June 20, at around 3:00 a.m., in one of the towns in Lower Silesia. “Despite the late hour, the perpetrators held a party during which they listened to very loud music and behaved noisily. In doing so, they prevented their neighbors from getting a good night’s sleep, forcing them to listen to everything,” reports Staff Sergeant Przemysław Ratajczyk from the Press Team of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.

He adds:

The man who reacted to the situation and decided to point out to the 31- and 25-year-old men that their behavior was inappropriate and disruptive to their neighbors turned out to be an off-duty police officer. Unfortunately, when the officer tried to calm the partygoers down, they responded with aggression. Both men jumped over the fence and attacked him, kicking and beating him all over his body. The perpetrators remained aggressive despite being told by the man they were attacking that he was a police officer.

As a result of the incident, the officer lost consciousness. The spokesperson said: “He was taken to hospital; fortunately, he did not suffer serious, life-threatening injuries.”

The perpetrators were drunk at the time of the incident; they have already been arrested. Activities aimed at clarifying all the circumstances of the case are ongoing.

Provincial Police Headquarters:

The officer will receive all possible assistance from Police leadership. Such behavior toward anyone will not and cannot be tolerated, especially when perpetrators knowingly attack a police officer.
