Sylwester Łukasiewicz shared a recording from his archive made 26 years ago. It shows a car journey through the streets of Bolesławiec. Many places that have since been built up can be seen, as well as buildings that were demolished. These include the clinic on Zwycięstwa Street, the Piast Hotel, part of the Bolko pavilion, which housed the Brytania nightclub, the old PKS bus station, the city hall building before its renovation, and the dairy building on Jeleniogórska Street.

The lack of traffic jams and the old cars immediately stand out. Small Fiats, large Fiats and Polonezes dominate.

See for yourselves what the city looked like more than a quarter of a century ago.
