– In connection with the epidemic, Bolesławiec police, like most services in Poland, have been burdened with additional duties, says Tomasz Gabrysiak, Bolesławiec County Head. – To support the efficiency of our police force and the safety of officers, we decided to provide funds for the purchase of essential equipment.
As asp. staff officer Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer for the Bolesławiec police, emphasizes, the vehicle will be assigned to operational activities to improve the safety of residents of Bolesławiec County. The main focus will be on combating drug-related crime, burglaries at homes and public-use facilities, and vehicle theft.
The vehicle will also be used to patrol parking areas for trucks parked near economic zones operating within the county. Police officers are currently fighting an epidemic of thefts of goods transported by TIR trucks and combating gangs stealing fuel from their tanks.
