On Tuesday, 15 September, officers from the traffic section conducted the “Truck” operation. The officers inspected 61 vehicles. They seized 50 registration certificates (due to the poor technical condition of the cars) and issued 41 fines (including 10 for speeding).
The officers checked, among other things, the technical condition of the vehicles, the sobriety of the drivers and whether they complied with working-time regulations.
In recent years, the number of accidents involving buses and trucks has risen sharply. The preventive “Truck” operation aims to improve the safety of road users.
