In April this year, we reported that members of the MOSiR Employees’ Trade Union had notified the OPZZ District Council that director Dariusz Jośko had intimidated his employees. They claimed that Jośko had surveilled them, bullied them and threatened them with dismissal. All because of their trade-union membership.

OPZZ notified, among others, Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman (the District Council called for Jośko’s immediate dismissal), the Lower Silesian Voivode, the National Labour Inspectorate in Wrocław and Member of Parliament Ryszard Zbrzyzny about the entire matter. The organization also reported the case to the prosecutor’s office. “The statements prepared by employees who are members of the trade union indicate that they are being intimidated because of their trade-union membership and forced to resign from the union,” Mirosław Habel, chair of the OPZZ District Council, wrote in a letter to the prosecutor’s office.

The District Prosecutor’s Office discontinued the proceedings. “We found no grounds to charge Mr. Dariusz Jośko,” Adam Zieliński, the district prosecutor, commented tersely.

Mirosław Habel admits that the union members expected the case to turn out this way. “We have appealed against the prosecutor’s office decision,” says the head of the OPZZ District Council. The complaint will be heard by the District Court in Bolesławiec.

We will return to this matter.
