On Friday, September 11, a ceremonial groundbreaking was held for the construction of the new TBAI Poland factory in the Kamienna Góra Special Economic Zone. A production complex will be built on a site covering more than eight hectares, comprising, among other facilities, a press shop, paint shop, welding shop, cutting shop and sewing shop. Starting in June 2011, the company plans to produce 280,000 frames and car seat covers annually.

“This is one of the most important projects being carried out in the zone. The Japanese will invest PLN 120 million here. A showcase is being created not only for our zone, but for the entire region,” says Iwona Krawczyk, head of the Kamienna Góra zone. “This is only the beginning of our plans. We will combine the most advanced technologies. We will provide our customers around the world with products of the highest quality, and at an affordable price as well,” adds Masaki Suzuki, president of TBAI Poland, a joint venture of Toyota Boshoku Corporation and Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd.
