The incident occurred on Friday (15 May). After 10:00 a.m., near Gromadka (entrance from the direction of Krzyżowa), a truck ran off the road and stopped in a roadside ditch.
It happened in a dangerous spot, in the area of a bend where a truck accident also occurred on 29 October 2019. At that time, the truck driver died at the scene.
KPP Bolesławiec on the incident:
Preliminary findings indicate that the 25-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle as a result of failing to adjust his speed. The driver was transporting 26 tonnes of waste from a mill [...].
Traffic is currently moving alternately in both directions. Disruptions may last until 7:00–8:00 p.m.
