3.5-year-old Kacperek was playing under the watchful eye of his father, 34-year-old Rafał B. At around 6:00 p.m., the father noticed that the boy had disappeared. The man raised the alarm and notified the boy’s mother, then began searching for the child with neighbors from the allotments. Thus began the family’s ordeal and the first 24 hours of the boy’s search.
The search has entered its fifth day. During this time, more than 700 hectares have been searched, including fields, railway areas and allotment areas. Police counterterrorism officers are taking part in the operation, while the best police divers are combing the riverbed. Approximately 7 km of the riverbed—from Nowogrodziec to Parzyce—has been searched. During the search operation, the services are using, among other things, a special underwater robot. As it moves underwater, it records video and transmits a live image to an operator on the bank. Despite this, the child had not been found by May 1, when the video below was broadcast.
The missing boy’s name is Kacper Błażejowski. The boy was wearing black cargo trousers, a white-and-red striped T-shirt with a picture of Mickey Mouse, and gray sports shoes.
