On Saturday (September 5), BKS hosted Prochowiczanka Prochowice. The visiting team is coached by Marcin Ciliński, well known to Bolesławiec fans. The match began fortunately for the visitors. In the 4th minute, Marcin Kaczmarek headed the ball into Dawid Kizyma’s goal. The goal came after an error by our defenders and an uncertain intervention by the goalkeeper. In the 8th minute, the visitors could have extended their lead, but Krzysztof Wojciechowski failed to take advantage of a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper. BKS responded a minute later. Adam Popecki passed to Sylwester Rydzak. The player shot, but the ball went into the side netting, and only a groan of disappointment could be heard in the stands.
The Bolesławiec team learned in the 11th minute that missed chances can come back to haunt you. After a shot by Wojciech Kaśczyszyn, the visitors were already 2:0 ahead. Bolesławiec tried to make up the deficit. The fans who came to the match watched an interesting, fast-paced game. In the 18th minute, Chrystian Serkies scored a goal for BKS to reduce the deficit. The striker produced a very precise shot, virtually from the end line. A goal like that demonstrates Chrystian’s exceptional shooting ability. The goal motivated both teams. In the 34th minute, Emil Nowakowski fired a shot at Dawid Kizyma’s goal. Fortunately, the ball flew over the crossbar.
In the following minutes, the referee drew the attention of both the fans and the players. The referee failed to notice—or did not want to notice—that a visiting player stopped the ball with his hand. Following Chrystian Serkies’s shot, the ball was heading into an empty net. A few minutes later, the match official showed Zbigniew Antosiewicz a second yellow card. From that moment, BKS began to enjoy a clear advantage, but the score did not change before halftime.
Playing with 10 men, Prochowiczanka had no intention of merely defending. The second half began with bold and dangerous attacks by the visitors. Meanwhile, the Bolesławiec team tried to draw level. In the 54th minute, Chrystian Serkies’s shot narrowly missed the target. In the 58th minute, it was 2:2. Robert Nitarski put the ball into the net. Five minutes later, Nitarski shot at Prochowiczanka’s goal again. This time, one of the defenders came to the aid of Sinanis, who was having an excellent game in goal. Two minutes later, BKS took a 3:2 lead. Tomasz Jasiński turned a loose ball into a goal. The Bolesławiec team could have scored more goals, but their finishing let them down. In the 76th minute, Kamil Mielnik hit the crossbar, and in the 82nd minute, Adam Popecki failed to take advantage of a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper. The visitors also launched dangerous attacks.
The match remained closely contested until the very end. In the final minute, the visitors equalized. Andrzej Węgłowski set the final score with a header. BKS Bobrzanie drew 3:3 with Prochowiczanka Prochowice. The match between BKS and Prochowiczanka was enjoyable to watch. The Bolesławiec team showed fighting spirit and determination right through to the final whistle. The fans saw as many as 6 goals. There were plenty of emotions. The weakest element of the Bolesławiec team was its defense.
