Twenty-three patients and fourteen members of the medical staff at the hospice in Nowogrodziec are carriers of the coronavirus.

Here is the statement issued today by the facility:

As of April 19, 2020, based on tests conducted among all patients of the Palliative and Hospice Care Facility and the Nursing and Treatment Facility operated by SPZOZ, a total of 23 people have tested positive for coronavirus infection, out of a total of 70 patients.

Repeat tests will be carried out shortly, in consultation with the State County Sanitary Inspector in Bolesławiec and the dedicated COVID-19 hospital in Bolesławiec.

The condition of the hospitalized patients is stable; the patients continue to show no symptoms of COVID-19.

The total number of infections among employees is 14 out of a total of 60 people. Staff testing is still ongoing.

The provision of medical services is secured by an 11-person staff who remain with the patients.
