Unofficial information suggests that as early as 20 April, the limit on the number of people who may be in a shop at the same time will change. The number of customers would depend on the shops’ floor area (rather than on the number of checkout counters, as is currently the case). Shopping malls are expected to resume operations. Some shops and service outlets located in the malls are to reopen.
There is also hope that from 20 April it will be possible to go for walks in parks and forests, while of course observing safety precautions (a 2-metre distance and covering the mouth and nose).
According to unofficial information, a decision will also be announced on reopening, among other things, hair salons and beauty salons. These services would nevertheless resume on 27 April.
Educational institutions will probably not reopen on 27 April, however. The period of their closure is expected to be extended once again.
Asked about decisions concerning the easing of the national quarantine, Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin said: “This may concern the use of green spaces and forests; it may concern trade, the reopening of some shops in shopping malls, such as clothing stores, as well as service outlets. These restrictions cannot be extended indefinitely,” the deputy prime minister added.
