As reported on the website of the Nowogrodziec Municipal Office, on April 12, during the night, a doctor at the Palliative and Hospice Care Facility in Nowogrodziec received information that one of the patients had tested positive for COVID-19.
The sanitary authorities ordered mandatory quarantine for employees of SP ZOZ in Nowogrodziec who had contact with the infected patient on April 8.
“The facility is currently under collective quarantine; the employees on duty have not left the workplace. The remaining employees will stay in home quarantine. The infected patient will be treated at the District Hospital in Bolesławiec,” inform Robert Adaszewski, director of SP ZOZ in Nowogrodziec, and Mayor Robert Relich.
They add:
As of today, procedures are under way to determine the source of the infection.
All employees and patients of the facility will be tested for COVID-19.
R. Adaszewski and R. Relich:
Because a patient of the Care and Treatment Facility, located in the same building, had also been tested for COVID-19, at the same time the State District Sanitary Inspector in Bolesławiec ordered quarantine until the test result was obtained.
As in the case of the hospice, the facility was placed under collective quarantine, and the employees on duty will remain at the facility until the test result is confirmed.
