Reconstruction of DK18 has begun. The goal? To bring 22 kilometres of national road no. 18—sometimes disparagingly called the “patatajka” or “road of shame”—up to motorway standards. (This concerns section no. 2, which begins near the Żary Zachód interchange in the direction of Wrocław and ends nearly 4 km before the Iłowa interchange.)
If everything goes according to plan, the project will be completed in the second half of 2022.
