It appears that the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in Poland, and thus the restrictions and limitations, will continue for a longer period. During Monday’s address in the Sejm the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki

said that the peak in infections in Poland is expected in May or June.

This means that the number of infected people and the number of deaths caused by the coronavirus will continue to rise, and we must be patient and remain at home for the coming weeks (months?). Companies and institutions will also remain closed for the coming weeks, and bans related to the ongoing state of epidemic will remain in force. How will people cope with this? How will hospitals, schools, companies, institutions and the entire economy cope?

Dispute over election date – Gowin’s resignation

On Monday, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin resigned. “I believe that the elections should be postponed. We proposed introducing an amendment with a three-month vacatio legis. This proposal was not accepted, therefore I am resigning,” Jarosław Gowin said during a press conference.
