You too can become a Glinolud – this is what the organizers of this year’s Gliniada are saying. To take part in the parade (on Saturday, August 22), you should:

  • prepare your costume. The more original, the better. White clothes, sheets and canvas will work best. At the markets in Bolesławiec, you can buy used clothes for two złoty that you will not mind ruining or dirtying
  • come and paint your costume. On Thursday, August 20, from 10:00 a.m., volunteers with white emulsion paint will be waiting at Galeria Concordia (at 3 Orla Street). After painting the costume, take it with you and dry it at home
  • on the day of the parade, wearing your costume, paint yourself with clay in the car park by the Starostwo Powiatowe, at 2 Piłsudskiego Square. Painting starts at 9:00 a.m.
  • take part in the parade, which will begin on Komuny Paryskiej Street at 12:00 noon.
