  • number of people under epidemiological supervision - 86

What does it mean for a person to be subject to quarantine?

This applies to healthy people who have had close contact with people infected with or suspected of being infected with the coronavirus. Since March 15, quarantine has been mandatory for everyone returning from abroad.

The person stays in their home for two weeks—counted from the day of their last contact with an infected person or from the day they return from a high-risk region. They are not allowed to go outside, even to walk the dog, go to a store, or see a doctor. This is a matter of civic responsibility, because they may be carrying the coronavirus and infecting others even though they have no symptoms themselves.

No one is allowed to visit them.

If they feel worse, especially if the following symptoms appear—fever, coughing, or breathing problems—they should immediately notify the sanitary and epidemiological station by telephone or report directly to the infectious diseases ward or the hospital’s observation and infectious diseases ward.

If you are returning from abroad and cannot undergo quarantine at home, you will undergo it at a facility designated by the services (you will receive the information when crossing the border).

What does it mean for a person to be subject to epidemiological supervision?

For example, if someone worked in a building where a coronavirus carrier was present, they were in the same space. In other words, this is a situation in which there was no direct contact with a carrier or a sick person, but the person’s health is checked as a precaution.

Epidemiological supervision lasts 14 days. It is conducted in consultation with sanitary inspection employees after an epidemiological interview. One should switch to working remotely from home, suspend social activities, and limit going out to a minimum. Measure your temperature twice a day and monitor your health.
