The evening edition of TVN’s Fakty broadcast a report on the CDU campaign, in which Chancellor Angela Merkel and candidate Vera Lengsefld appear on posters wearing low-cut blouses, promoting the women in the party as those who have more to offer. The news item was thematically linked to this year’s Bolesławiec Gliniada campaign, “Free the Jugs”.
Nudity in politics can promote politicians, but it can also bring down those in power. And it is not only women’s bare breasts that make headlines. Vladimir Putin shows his bare torso to the delight of fans and voters, Olejniczak opened his shirt on the cover of Wprost, while the former Czech prime minister simply took everything off at a party at Berlusconi’s.

Do the freed Bolesławiec jugs promote Bolesławiec? Yes. The girls who do this are beautiful and brave. Will this cause moral outrage? Yes. And it should be ignored.
