As reported by the Ministry of Health, failure to comply with quarantine carries a criminal fine of PLN 5,000.
During Thursday’s press conference, the head of the Ministry of Health, Łukasz Szumowski, stressed that Poles had responded to these health recommendations in a very responsible manner. Of the 1,200 people under quarantine, only 16 violated it.
WHAT NOT TO DO DURING QUARANTINE?
- do not leave the place of quarantine
- do not meet with other people, and if this is impossible, maintain a safe distance of 1–1.5 m.
WHAT TO DO DURING QUARANTINE?
- provide the State Sanitary Inspection with information about your health
- if your health deteriorates, immediately notify the State Sanitary Inspection by telephone and report to an infectious diseases ward
- wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your eyes and mouth, and wash or disinfect surfaces that are touched
- when coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or a tissue
- inform your employer by telephone that you have been placed under quarantine.
