The incident occurred on Tuesday (August 11) before 11:00 p.m., on national road no. 4, between Zebrzydowa and Czerna. On a straight section of the road, near the ill-fated “bend of death,” a motorcycle collided with an Opel Kadett. The injured motorcyclist was taken to a hospital in Bolesławiec. Fortunately, no one traveling in the Opel was injured. Police are investigating the cause of the incident.

The section of road between Zebrzydowa and Czerna is particularly dangerous. Yesterday morning, two trucks collided at the ill-fated bend. While negotiating the bend, the trailer of one truck crossed into the opposite lane and struck the side of an oncoming truck. Fortunately, no one was injured in the collision. The Bolesławiec–Zgorzelec route was blocked for several hours.

The accident involving the motorcyclist was caused by the Opel driver. The driver was overtaking another car when the collision occurred. Fortunately, the motorcyclist did not suffer serious injuries. The Opel driver was fined PLN 400.
