The unfinished Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus was an excellent place for a Sunday Mass accompanied by blues music. Blues is as simple as the interior in which the arrangements performed during the service resounded. This connection was emphasized in her welcome by the coordinator of the blues Mass and workshop lecturer – Aleksandra Sozańska-Kut.
The Blues nad Bobrem workshops were conceived to develop talents while also presenting them to a wide audience. The presence of residents of Bolesławiec at Mass, a concert or a jam session means supporting something we must not waste: talent.
Blues nad Bobrem has a very simple formula: helping young people develop and maintain their abilities. The sermon did not mention this at all. But it is worth singing a blues prayer, asking for the ability to be filled with wonder and the strength to work on our talents. Amen.
