– During the meeting, the Association of Polish Cities will present a report on the state of local-government finances – says Agnieszka Gergont, press spokesperson for the Bolesławiec City Hall. – Experts will recall the two basic principles on which the financial system of municipalities, counties and provinces should be based: adequate funding for local-government units and its stability.
After the discussion, draft legislation and proposed solutions that should support better implementation of these principles will be presented.
The debate will initiate the legislative process for specific draft laws prepared by the Association of Polish Cities, which the Association’s president, Senator Zygmunt Frankiewicz, will submit for consideration by the Senate
