The Blisko Domu Foundation helps married couples, individuals and entire families. Until now, it has operated at two centers in Lubusz Voivodeship: in Otyń and Żary.
As we read on the Nowogrodziec Municipality website:
Environmental analyses conducted in our part of Lower Silesian Voivodeship revealed a gap, particularly in assistance for married couples and families.
The Foundation's activities take several forms:
- therapeutic, diagnostic and consultation support provided by therapists, psychologists and educators
- organization of workshops and thematic conferences related to marriage and family matters (for example, parenting skills) or personal development. The workshops and conferences are conducted by Foundation employees or external specialists
- retreats for married couples and individuals.
At present, people in Nowogrodziec can use the first of these forms. The others are offered in Otyń or Żary. Ultimately, however, the Nowogrodziec branch intends to expand the range of assistance and support, responding—as far as possible—to the needs of the local community.
Agnieszka Tomiczek, who runs the Blisko Domu Foundation's branch in Nowogrodziec, completed pedagogical therapy, the Addiction Psychotherapy School at the Center for Psychotherapy and Psychoeducation of the Polish Society for Addiction Psychotherapy in Czarny Bór, a Family Therapy program and a two-year coaching course. She is a community activist and evangelizer.
“The Foundation's office in Nowogrodziec is nicely furnished and creates a cheerful atmosphere,” municipal officials say.
Foundation members describe their mission as follows:
Love is the highest value for us. We belong to the Catholic Church. We believe in Jesus Christ, who is Love. We are united by common goals, which we pursue as best we can. We are certain that everyone can be happy, which is why we help people build a better future for themselves and their loved ones.
The Blisko Domu Foundation is located at 14 Lubańska Street, first floor, no. 34 (entrance from the courtyard). More information is available by phone at 600 550 597. Details are available on the Nowogrodziec Municipality website.
