Our Reader asked us to publicize the matter. In an email to the editorial office, he wrote: “Someone once said that the road between Ocice and Mierzwin met European standards. It was hot for two days, and please see for yourselves what this road looks like.”

In October last year, we wrote that the District Roads Authority (together with the Bolesławiec Rural Municipality) had carried out the regeneration of the road connecting Ocice and Mierzwin. “Two new layers were applied to the road, it was sprayed with emulsion and covered with screenings,” Roman Palczewski, head of the District Roads Authority, explained at the time.

Today, the official assures that the difficulties on this section are temporary. “The inconvenience will continue until the surface hardens. For now, we are spreading screenings there so that the road does not stick to the wheels,” the head says. “The emulsion we used during the regeneration must soak deeper into the road. However, this requires about two weeks of hot weather.”

And since the weather has recently been unpredictable, it seems that drivers will have to be patient.
