Please look into the matter of the speed bumps in Czerna. On the county road in our village, two speed bumps were built in September 2018 following a petition from residents. They were made of asphalt.

Before the speed bumps were installed, walking along the road to the nearby school and shops was truly dangerous. (I would like to point out that there are still no sidewalks there, or even a properly adapted shoulder).

The County Office has withdrawn this decision, and today the speed bumps are being dismantled […].

The reader is concerned that after the speed bumps are removed, the road will become dangerous again: “They’ll start driving like maniacs again.”

As istotne.pl was told by Paweł Bednarski, head of the County Roads Authority, one speed bump—at the residents’ request—will be moved approximately a quarter of a kilometre.

The head of the County Roads Authority added that the County’s budget for this year has already been adopted, and therefore there is currently no possibility of building sidewalks along this road.
