Travel options by train to Lower Silesian cities are expanding. Travel time by rail is becoming shorter than by car. The investments are co-financed by EU programmes. Nearly PLN 15 million has been allocated for construction.
Mokronos Góry means a shorter journey
The journey from Mokronos to Wrocław Główny will take 11–13 minutes. That is twice as short as travelling by car. The stop is on the route from Wrocław towards Wałbrzych, between Wrocław Zachodni station and Smolec stop. The two platforms are located right next to the level crossing at al. Konwaliowa.
New barrier-equipped safety devices have been installed to improve passenger safety. The stop has benches and shelters and is covered by monitoring. Regional trains will stop here. On weekdays, 17 train pairs are scheduled.
Two new stops in Jelenia Góra
Jelenia Góra Zabobrze has two single-edge platforms. Jelenia Góra Przemysłowa provides access to trains from one single-edge platform. The platforms are 150 m long.
Benches and shelters, as well as clear signage and information boards, have been provided. Economical, energy-efficient lighting has been installed on the platforms. Access to the trains is adapted for people with reduced mobility.
Passengers will cross between the platforms at track level; barrier-equipped safety devices and monitoring have been installed for their safety.
From 15 December, local and regional trains (KD and PR) will stop at the new stops. Number of trains per day:
- Jelenia Góra Zabobrze: 33 (36 on weekends)
- Jelenia Góra Przemysłowa: 12 (11 on weekends).

It is located 1.5 km from Lubin station, towards Rudna Gwizdanów, right next to the crossing on ul. Marii Skłodowskiej Curie.
Access to the platforms is adapted to the needs of passengers with reduced mobility. The shelters, benches and information boards meet the current standards for modernised stations and stops. The new stops improve the quality of life for city residents. Daily journeys will become shorter, and weekend trips easier. As part of investments by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A., stops and stations are being modernised in Lower Silesia, including on the Jelenia Góra–Wałbrzych–Wrocław, Legnica–Rudna Gwizdanów and Wrocław–Świdnica–Jedlina Zdrój lines.
There are also projects covering stations such as Świebodzice, Jaworzyna Śląska, Kłodzko Miasto and Legnica. Projects covering stations and stops are being carried out using European Union and state budget funds.
