Officers from the Traffic Department of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, operating as part of the provincial SPEED group focused on combating dangerous driving, stopped a vehicle for inspection that was travelling at 107 km/h in a built-up area.

The driver was a 57-year-old resident of Polkowice County. The man lost his driving licence for three months and was also fined and received 10 penalty points.

Bolesławiec police:

We appeal to drivers to ease off the accelerator. Falling temperatures, slippery roads and changing weather conditions make this an exceptionally difficult time for drivers. Reduced vehicle grip combined with high speed can lead to tragedy on the road.

The officers add:

Driving too fast means not only the risk of losing your driving licence, but also a serious threat to the safety of all road users.
