A reader sent us photos of Tauron notices that had been attached with staplers to trees in the Nowogrodziec municipality (Bolesławiec County).

Reporter:

Perhaps this will be of interest—this is how the company cares for the environment and trees: a dozen, if not several dozen, notices nailed to trees.

Ewa Groń, Tauron Dystrybucja spokesperson:

Information about power outages is usually posted in places that are highly visible to the residents to whom the information is addressed. Most often, these are poles, fences or information boards.

And she adds:

In this case, employees decided to attach the information to trees. The photos provided do not appear to show any ecological damage. Attaching a sheet of paper to the bark with a stapler is minimal interference and poses no threat to the trees.

But she immediately emphasizes:

Nevertheless, we agree with the reader’s observation that trees are not a good place to hang company information or any other information. We will remind employees to look for other places to display this type of information.
