“I thank you wholeheartedly for the years of cooperation, for the time spent organising, managing and shaping cultural activities in our city, for your creativity and organisational sense—extremely important when managing an institution so important to our city,” Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman said, also highlighting, among other things, the commitment of the outgoing director Ewa Lijewska-Małachowska to running the amateur arts movement, creating a rich cultural offering for children, young people and adults, skilfully organising activities for seniors, and making a significant contribution to building the brand of Bolesławiec ceramics.

In connection with the end of the term of the Bolesławiec Scout District leadership, Scoutmaster Joanna Sawicka was also ceremonially bid farewell. She had served as commander of the Szare Szeregi District for eight years.

It is extremely important to educate and raise successive generations of Bolesławiec residents skilfully and effectively in the spirit of civic concern for Poland and a love of freedom. Bolesławiec scouting fulfils this task excellently.

The mayor highlighted the Scout District leadership’s involvement in preparing and conducting patriotic ceremonies, caring for Bolesławiec’s cemeteries, numerous charitable activities, and initiatives aimed at preventing pathological phenomena among children and young people.
