It should be recalled that this was the first Teachers’ Day at the new school, which moved from its former facility in September this year to a thoroughly renovated and superbly equipped building on Bankowa Street. The children and teachers were provided with dignified and comfortable conditions for work, learning, rehabilitation and experiencing the world.

“I am very pleased that at last we can all meet in one room,” said starost Tomasz Gabrysiak. “Now we can see exactly how large your community is and how joyful it is. We can see the results of the work of teachers and parents, and above all, the talented and courageous children. I see how sensitive they are and how much they trust their teachers. I admire the parents’ love for their children and the tremendous effort invested in raising them.”

Piotr Roman, mayor of Bolesławiec, also spoke:

I could not have been absent. This is a historic moment. The first teachers’ celebration at the new school and the first induction of new pupils. Teaching is a difficult profession, but being a teacher at your school requires even more heart, attention, kindness, commitment and skill. I deeply admire everyone who has found their place at this school.

The starost thanked the teaching staff and parents for their great contribution and commitment during the planning of the construction work, the school’s relocation and assistance in arranging it.
