The professional achievements of teacher Aleksander Samostrokow

Aleksander Samostrokow was born in 1951. He graduated from the Choral Conducting Department of the Academy of Music in Lviv in 1976. He has extensive experience working with choirs at higher and secondary music schools, as well as with amateur ensembles. He is also a trained pianist and has worked as an accompanist for almost his entire life—from his student years to the present.

In October 1999, the Kamerton choir of the W. Lutosławski State Music School, first level, in Bolesławiec was founded.

Since its foundation, the choir has maintained an active concert schedule, not only locally and regionally but also in European Union and Eastern European countries (Italy, Austria, Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine). It takes part in holiday services. The choir’s professional standard is demonstrated by its awards at festivals, competitions, and auditions.

Kamerton choir’s concert activity

Every year, the choir takes part in events organized by the Bolesławiec municipality and city, such as the Star of Kindness, the New Year’s Concert of first-level and second-level State and Non-State Music School students, integration wafer-sharing meetings for people with disabilities from Bolesławiec County, “Maria de Mattias—patron saint of Bolesławiec,” parish and city fairs, Bolesławiec Days, and occasional concerts. It participates in services, including Easter services. Every year, it travels to the Cecilia Gathering of Choirs of the Legnica Diocese.
