Saturday’s match was played in heavy rain, which certainly made things difficult for both teams. Despite this, our team performed better and deservedly claimed all three points.

Mateusz Medyński gave the signal for the attacks as early as the 1st minute, but the home goalkeeper managed to tip the BKS midfielder’s shot onto the crossbar. Pogoń Markocice’s players focused on defending access to their own goal, while our lads lacked accuracy; often, the wet ball also played tricks and refused to obey. In the 34th minute, Adrian Puzio struck well from a free kick, but the ball went just past the home team’s post. Despite our considerable advantage, we were unable to score before the break, and went into the dressing room with a goalless draw.

After the break, the course of the game did not change significantly. BKS Bolesławiec controlled the match and looked for a goal, while Pogoń Markocice fought hard to preserve the draw. In the 56th minute, after a handball in the penalty area, the referee awarded BKS Bolesławiec a penalty, but Marek Majka failed to convert it. Fortunately for us, the team responded well to the missed opportunity and took the lead just two minutes later, in the 58th minute. Adrian Puzio then opened the way to goal with a fine pass for Adrian Biały. Our midfielder’s powerful low shot put BKS Bolesławiec 1–0 ahead.

A minute later, it could have been 2–0, but Adrian Puzio’s free kick struck the home team’s crossbar. In the 82nd minute, we could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Adrian Biały’s excellent pass was converted into a goal by Adrian Kulesza, making it 2–0. The determined home side tried to score a consolation goal, but our defense was in good form that day and did not allow a goal. In the 85th minute, Adrian Puzio shot at the Pogoń goal from close range. Although the Markocice goalkeeper made a fine save, the ball fell to Marek Majka, who had no trouble putting it between the posts. Ultimately, despite many more chances, BKS Bolesławiec defeated Pogoń Markocice 3–0 away from home (0–0).

Our players now face a two-week break caused by Stella Lubomierz withdrawing from the competition, after which we will play away against Piast Wykroty.

Pogoń Markocice – BKS Bolesławiec 0–3 (0–0).

Goals: Biały (58′), Kulesza (82′), Majka (85′).
