The ceremony took place on Saturday, 20 June, in Głogów. Its hosts were Starosta of Głogów County Anna Brok, Mayor of Głogów Jan Zubowski, and President of the Board of the Association for the Promotion of Lower Silesia Sławomir Najnigier.
Awards were presented in 10 categories. Bolesławiec County was the Laureate in the third category, “Lower Silesian county best implementing public tasks,” thereby ending the chances of the two other nominees, Lubiń County and Wrocław County, to win the Key.
The award was accepted by Starosta of Bolesławiec County Cezary Przybylski. He thanked the Chairperson of the County Council, Karol Stasik, for the council’s strong support of all activities undertaken by the County Board.
Also nominated for the Lower Silesian Key to Success from Bolesławiec were Gliniada, organized by the “Via Sudetica” Association, and the H. Sucharski General and Vocational Schools Complex in Bolesławiec. Gliniada and the Schools Complex received the title of nominees for the award.
