For the second week already, students of the Powiatowy Zespół Szkół i Placówek Specjalnych have been studying in the new building at Bankowa Street.

The students attend an eight-year primary school. The little ones play, undergo rehabilitation and learn to discover the world with all their senses. The older students are prepared for possible employment. They learn to cook and operate kitchen appliances; sewing and computer skills are also taught. The skills acquired at school will certainly help the young people become independent.

The school employs 40 full-time teachers specialising in caring for children with severe and moderate intellectual disabilities. Depending on needs, 14–16 employees work part-time: they organise specialist classes adapted to the needs of individual students.
