Saturday’s match in Warta Bolesławiecka could be classified as a so-called battle for the points. There were not many shots on either goal or attacks in the penalty areas. The somewhat weary stands came to life in the 20th minute when the visiting side attacked. Following a corner taken by Grzegorz Roman, Daniel Gola rose highest to the ball, unmarked, and put Piast ahead. The score did not change before the break, although the hosts had an opportunity to equalise. Fortunately for the visitors, Paweł Rissmann cleared the ball off the goal line.

After the change of ends, the hosts’ play clearly improved. The Warta players played faster, but effective finishing was lacking. Fifteen minutes before the end, GKS attacks finally brought an equaliser, although it came as a result of an unfortunate intervention by Piast player Wojciech Finek, who headed the ball into his own goal.

After that goal and the equaliser, it seemed that the hosts had gained momentum, but the final word in the match belonged to Piast. The goal worth three points was scored late in the game by Grzegorz Roman.

The closest Warta came to scoring was through Krzysztof Kaliciak, who tried to beat the visiting goalkeeper with a skilful free kick. However, Piast’s goalkeeper managed to tip the shot over for a corner. GKS Warta Bolesławiecka – Piast Wykroty 1–2 (0–1).
