On Friday (6 September), the Bolesławiec side faced Lechia Piechowice away from home. The first half saw a clear advantage for Sebastian Tylutki’s team. However, poor finishing meant that for a long time the score remained goalless. In the 11th minute, Marek Majka had an excellent opportunity, but the ball struck by the BKS striker went over the hosts’ crossbar.

In the 23rd minute, Adrian Puzio found himself one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper. Although he chipped the goalkeeper, the ball went just wide of the post and once again we were left empty-handed. The hosts also had a chance to score after an error by our defense, but Jakub Walczak was alert and made a fine save from close range. The score was therefore 0:0 at half-time.

The second half began in the best possible way for BKS Bolesławiec. In the 47th minute, Dawid Kowalonek delivered an excellent cross from the left, and Dorian Latała made a good run into the penalty area. The young BKS striker gave us a 1:0 lead with a volley. In the 60th minute, it should have been 2:0, but amid confusion in Lechia’s penalty area, Dorian Latała’s backheel was saved by the goalkeeper.

A few minutes later, the hosts came close to equalizing. Jakub Walczak produced an excellent save after a powerful free kick. In the 66th minute, we could breathe a sigh of relief. Adrian Puzio delivered a superb cross, and Łukasz Graczyk scored with a fine header. The second goal clearly deflated the hosts, and the score did not change until the end of the match. Friday’s victory was BKS Bolesławiec’s first of the season. Next Sunday, the match against Hutnik Pieńsk will provide a chance for another one.
