On Sunday (14 June), BKS Bobrzanie’s senior players played their final matches of the 2008/2009 season. The first team hosted league leaders Górnik Wałbrzych. In the 3rd minute, the Bolesławiec players blocked a dangerous shot by Dominik Janik. BKS responded in the 14th minute. After a run down the right side of the pitch, Robert Nitarski crossed to Paweł Rissmann. Unfortunately, the BKS striker’s header was off target. A minute later, the same player took a dangerous shot with his foot, but Górnik’s goalkeeper deflected the ball beyond the end line.
In the 18th minute, Piotr Przerywacz took a dangerous free kick. Fortunately, Dawid Kizyma managed to clear the ball beyond the end line. There was plenty of midfield battling in the following minutes. BKS came under serious pressure in the 37th minute. Dawid Kizyma’s good intervention prevented the Bolesławiec side from conceding. Adrian Moszyk had taken the shot at the Bolesławiec goalkeeper’s goal. In the 39th minute, Szczepan Mączyński was shown a red card for a brutal foul on Mateusz Janczyszyn. The first half ended 0–0.
Playing with an extra player did not help the Bolesławiec side score. The visitors attacked more dangerously. In the 50th minute, Bartosz Konarski hit the crossbar. Five minutes later, the same player beat the Bolesławiec goalkeeper to make it 1–0 to Górnik. In the 63rd minute, Paweł Tobiasz made it 2–0. The BKS players tried to score a goal to get back into the match, but little came of their efforts. Krzysztof Szymański had an excellent opportunity, but his header, following a corner taken by Marek Kumoś, went just wide.
Kamil Mielnik, Mateusz Janczyszyn and Sylwester Rydzak also shot at the Wałbrzych goal. Unfortunately, none of their efforts surprised the Górnik Wałbrzych goalkeeper. The match ended with Górnik Wałbrzych winning 2–0. BKS Bobrzanie finished the season in 8th place in the table.
Górnik Wałbrzych supporters did not make it to the match in Bolesławiec. The white-and-blue fans were travelling in two coaches. Near Wilczy Las, the police stopped them and directed them back to Wałbrzych.
BKS played with: Dawid Kizyma – Adam Klimas, Robert Nitarski (yellow card) (61' Krzysztof Letko), Sylwester Rydzak, Błażej Rajchel, Marek Kumoś, Mateusz Mucha, Mateusz Janczyszyn (yellow card), Tomasz Jasiński, Kamil Mielnik (81' Marcin Głowacki), Paweł Rissmann.
