The incident occurred on September 1, at around 12:40 a.m., in Ubocze near Gryfów Śląski (Lwówek County). The operator of the 112 emergency number received a report that an unknown perpetrator had thrown a large stone at a moving VW Golf. The stone shattered the car’s windshield and struck the driver.
A police patrol and a medical rescue team were dispatched to the scene.
The Volkswagen driver, a 24-year-old resident of Lwówek County, managed to regain control of the vehicle. He was provided with medical assistance.
The police managed to detain the perpetrator of the incident, who turned out to be a 31-year-old resident of Ubocze. It emerged that the “joker” was under the influence of drugs.
