On Thursday, June 11, BKS Bobrzanie’s senior teams played their matches. The second team hosted the runner-up in the regional league table, Chrobry Nowogrodziec. It rained throughout the entire first half. The players slipped on the wet grass, and play took place mainly in the middle of the pitch.
In the 9th minute, Turko failed to take advantage of a good opportunity. The Chrobry player missed from five metres out. In the 37th minute, the Bolesławiec players created their first dangerous attack. Łojewski played the ball to Juszczak, who was moving into a clear position, but the referee spotted offside. In the final minutes of the first half, Juszczak again had a good opportunity, but this time the BKS player dribbled with the visiting players and eventually lost the ball on the edge of the penalty area.
The second half was much more interesting than the first. At last, the rain stopped. In the 49th minute, Letko wasted an excellent opportunity to score. The BKS player missed from close range. Three minutes later, the Nowogrodziec players responded. Wiktor shot at Walski’s goal, but his effort was also off target. In the 75th minute, Kurdziel tried to threaten the BKS goal. Fortunately, his shot was also inaccurate.
In the 82nd minute, the visitors took the lead. Mazur got on the scoresheet. Before shooting, the player stopped the ball with his hand, which the referee either did not notice or did not want to notice. The match’s main referee, Andrzej Socha, was confronted over the decision by the BKS substitutes’ bench, the people in the stands and the players themselves. Markowski was shown a red card for protesting.
The Bolesławiec players wasted their best opportunity in the 85th minute. Derewiński took a free kick. After Golba’s uncertain intervention, Łojewski reached the ball, but the Nowogrodziec goalkeeper saved his headed follow-up. BKS II lost 0–1 to Chrobry Nowogrodziec. The referee contributed to this result by making several controversial decisions. Besides failing to call the handball, the referee several times spotted questionable offside positions. Next Sunday, BKS II will play its final match of the round. The away match against Sparta Zebrzydowa will be a fight to remain in the regional league.
GKS Kobierzyce – BKS Bobrzanie 2:3
Also on Thursday, BKS’s first team played its away match. Our team faced GKS Kobierzyce. The Bolesławiec side played with a depleted squad. Kumos, Rajchel and Klimas were absent. Despite the squad shortages, our players took a 2–0 lead. Both goals were scored by Rissmann. The hosts responded with one goal, making it 2–1 to the visitors at half-time.
The second half began with attacks from the hosts, which resulted in a 2–2 goal. Janczyszyn set the final score at 3–2 for BKS. The match could have ended with a two-goal victory for the Bolesławiec side, but Rissmann missed a penalty. Next Sunday, June 14, BKS Bobrzanie will face Górnik Wałbrzych. The match will begin at 5:00 p.m. We learned from BKS that the match will be played without away supporters. The previous year, fans from Wałbrzych entered the stadium despite a DZPN ban, for which the Bolesławiec club was fined.
