On August 18, at around 11:00 a.m., in the area of the Przylesie housing estate in Lubin, a man used force to take a mobile phone worth PLN 600 from a 12-year-old girl and fled.

The Lubin police duty officer immediately dispatched patrols from the Prevention and Road Traffic Department to the scene. After establishing the suspect’s description, the officers began searching for him throughout the city.

The suspect was quickly detained. He turned out to be a 31-year-old resident of Lubin.

Moreover, officers established that several days earlier, the same man had attacked a 78-year-old woman in one of the city’s parks and beaten her for no reason.

What is more, it emerged that the aggressor had two break-ins at garden allotment buildings on his record. His loot included alcohol, footwear and toiletries. The losses were estimated at approximately PLN 120.

The 31-year-old was placed in temporary custody for three months. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
