The rickshaw will be stationed in the Glina Show clay town on Bankowa Street. Rides for interested children will be available on August 15–17 during the town’s opening hours:
- Thursday: 16:00–19:00
- Friday: 14:00–17:00
- Saturday: 12:00 14:30
The rickshaw was first used at Gliniada during the 2009 parade. It was a “carriage” for the daughter of our journalist, Grażyna Hanaf. Grażyna’s father drove the rickshaw: Józef Ferensowicz, a deceased teacher and football referee.
“The rickshaw is a keepsake of my father,” says Grażyna Hanaf. “He painted it white when we were building it together so that we could take part in the clay parade 10 years ago. Dad adored his granddaughter, and when he learned that he could appear with her in the parade, he immediately offered to use his rickshaw for that purpose. He has not been with us for seven years. This keepsake is all that remains for me. I would like children to continue enjoying it. Waldek Cieślak refurbished it and, as always, made every effort to ensure the best possible result,” says our journalist.
Glina Show Parade
On Saturday, August 17, we invite everyone interested to walk through the city streets in the Glina Show parade.
How to prepare?
Create a white outfit for yourself, preferably from cotton or linen. On August 15, 16 or 17, come to us, dip it in clay and let it dry. Our town will be located on Bankowa Street. Then we will proceed in a joint parade.
Competitions
We are preparing two competitions: for the most interesting costume and the best photograph. The main prizes are PLN 500 each.
